01 / about

Music without gravity.

“We make the music we love with the unbending intent that anyone who listens to it can experience a higher state of mind.”

Main sources of inspiration range from electronica through alternative and post rock, producing a fusion of styles categorized as instrumental electro rock.

OWN was entirely produced and mixed on an iPad using innovative music apps throughout the creation process. The album was inspired by the barren and alien landscape of San Juan, western Argentina.

another alien is a music project of Rodolfo Ruiz (engineering, keyboards) and Arnoldo Fernández (guitars). Both share a common music past in several rock bands in Argentina.

Loose Loop featuring Juanito Moro

another alien released “Loose Loop”, featuring Argentine drummer Juanito Moro, during the period of global social distancing.

The track became a metaphor for lockdown: every day repeating like a loop, but becoming looser as an extraordinary situation gradually began to feel normal.

The song was entirely recorded, produced and mixed on an iPad. Written by Rodolfo Ruiz and Arnoldo Fernández, produced, engineered and mixed by Rodolfo Ruiz, with electric and flamenco guitars by Arnoldo Fernández and drums by Juanito Moro.

Travel through other dimensions

The music video for “Vertical Buffer” was conceived as a musical journey through other dimensions.

It begins with a green monochrome monitor reminiscent of early personal computers, then pulls the viewer through light tunnels, space wormholes and distant galaxies.

Like the album OWN, the video was produced entirely on an iPad.
